Welcome the two newest members of our household!

On the right we have Kist, the oldest girl in a litter of four. Her name is Russian for “paintbrush”, because when I met her, her little tail looked like a paintbrush. (She had a rather rough birth in which she lost half of her tail.) She is a total cuddler, which I am very excited about. I love a cat who loves to take long naps in your lap.

On the left is Kist’ little sister, Idris. Idris gets her name from a Dr. Who character who once said, “Biting’s excellent! It’s like kissing. Only there’s a winner.” That pretty much sums up little Idris. Very playful. And vocal.

I’ll be spending my day watching them explore, reminding the dog that they aren’t his puppies, and saying “Gentle!” to the kid many times over.
